Our pets are a part of our family, and we started this business with that
in mind. We wanted to give pet owners like ourselves an option to have
their pet stay comfortably at home for a reasonable price with someone
they could trust.
The idea for our business began in 2002. Janie and I both shared a love
of animals, and I had worked for several years at an animal shelter while
in college. We brainstormed about the best way we could use our skills
to provide a service that would make the lives of other pet owners
easier. With four dogs and four cats, we knew that going out of town,
especially unexpectedly, could be a major hassle. Transporting them,
worrying about who to trust to care for them properly, even things like
stopping the paper or mail could cause major complications. We knew
that there were other pet owners out there like us who wanted an easier
way to assure that their pets were being not just fed and given basic
care, but given attention, playtime, and love while they were gone.
We started slowly, and in 2004, Janie and I were able to quit our full
time jobs in order to run our business full time. We never realized work
could be so challenging, rewarding, and fun! Our business has been
growing ever since. We work very closely with our small staff of pet
sitters, and Janie and I are still able to spend most of our time doing
what we love best-spoiling your pets!
We believe that our pet sitting service can bring a great peace of mind
to you while you are away, knowing that your pets are safely at home
sleeping in their own beds (or yours!), taking walks, playing fetch, and
getting plenty of tummy rubs or curled up purring on a warm lap. We
can safely retain your key and be available without hassle for
unexpected or planned trips. Our online reservations system makes
planning your pet care easy, and our confirmation e-mails allow you to
make sure your reservations are scheduled correctly. We are always
happy to provide an update on how your pets are doing while you are
away. You are always welcome to e-mail or call to check in!
